Q8 Books

Being a book lover, I used to struggle when I wanted to buy books at reasonable prices. Then I discovered 'Q8 Books' and things have changed ever since. 'Q8 Books' is a very unique second hand bookshop located in Kuwait City. The place is not really big, however thousands of interesting books ranging from gardening to crime can be found. The bookshop has a warm and cozy atmosphere to it and the owner of the place is a very friendly, modest and knowledgeable guy. For those who love reading, paying a visit to this humble place is a must!

  6. Ah *clapping* - remember this place ?? !!!!! :D yup wonderful shop , great collection , the one place where we knew we would find the stuff and appropriately as well .. and they used to do the Book Fairs as well :) :) my favourite part .. these book fairs and the Puffin books overseas order thingi that used to happen once a year .. aiieee nostalgia ! we would go thru the borchure thing and mark and choose dozens of books and then scale down to which ones we would be allowed to buy (not the whole collection :p) and convert prices ... and then the Q8 Books book fair .. ah loverly .. Parent's Evening and the special book fair lesson and the saving up pocket money and begging for more money to buy all the goody books :D and then visiting again in evenings with parents and showing off everything :) ans asking the book fair people to bring this book n that book as well and please save so and so book for me etc etc :) plus at prize givings often the book vouchers given would be from this place , this shop , and Baba would end up buying us more books aside from the 5 or 10 kd voucher as well :) and mama would also buy recipe books :p I still have a Q8 Books bookmark :p (yellow one) .. oh and I still visit the book fairs at school :D and you know I'm making another trip here again soon! InshaAllah

  7. I remember the excitement when the Puffin book ordering week came and they gave us like a brochure to choose books from. I'd always go back home and just spend hours trying to make up my mind which books to get. And then when the books arrived, I'd just be jumping up and down with excitement! Great memories :)
