Paul was right...again!

Congrats to Spain for winning the 2010 Fifa World Cup for the first time ever.

So what did we learn from this year's biggest sporting event?

Number 1 - Vuvuzelas are extremely annoying!

Number 2 - Never doubt a psychic octopus!

  2. congratulations Spain :D

i'm not a football fan and i'm not interested in it, but when Holland won in the semi finals i saw some pictures and videos about their fans and what happened their in Holland,, i really felt sick because of the way they were celebrating.

it might be the same way of celebration happened in Spain,i don't know about that but because i didn't see Spaniards celebrating in that disgusting way i prayed for Spain :D

last night i joined the fans in the last 5 min and when the referee whistled i was jumping happily :D

  3. When people are extremely happy, they sometimes do things without thinking and can later regret their actions. I think it's the same as acting when you are angry. When you are extremely angry or extremely happy, you do things that you could regret later on.

I watched the final match in a cafe in Salmiya and when Spain scored the goal in the last minute of the game, a man next to me stood up on the table and took his shirt off and started waving it in the air.

His action in the heat of the moment seemed normal, but when you look back at it, it's not normal to do that in a public place with children and families around.

  5. No no lol he wasn't my friend, he was some guy sitting on a table next to us, the manager came and told him to sit down, I was honestly shocked when I first saw him doing that, but i understand why that happened, he was just ecstatic!

Yes mad excitement makes people go crazy and do the strangest things .....
I remember this episode at some cricket world cup many years back , where we heard of some man who screamed and had a heart attack in the last moments of a final match where the team he was supporting only had one ball left and needed to make four runs .. medical emergency n whatnot ofcourse , plus it happens that that team won the match and the cup anyway , the batsman scored a sixer on the last ball ... - he missed the nice part , he lost his nerves and hurt his health - for a game :s
